TThis is how to make a paper flowers arrangement with
folded Origami Amaryllis
and Shooting Star flowers. All flower and bud papers are about 6x6
inches and the
leaf papers vary from 3x3 to 6x6 inches. I made a pretty large
arrangement myself,
you can make a smaller setting too of course.
Step 1: Prefold
the Amaryllis paper in half two times.

Step 6: Prefold
over this line, then unfold the model.
Step 5: Fold
along the edge
Step 2: Prefold
the edge to the centerline, then prefold this prefolded line to the
centerline too.
Step 4: Fold
the edge to this prefolded line, see arrow.
Step 3: Fold
in half
Step 10: Fold
one flap straight upwards.
Step 8: Prefold
over these lines.
Step 9: Fold
over these prefolded lines, into a basic shape.
Step 7: Fold
or cut the paper over these prefolded lines, into a hexagon shape.
Step 16: Open
the model, see arrows.
Step 15: Fold
the little triangle flap upwards.
Then repeat steps 11 to 15 on the other five flaps.
Step 12: Prefold
over these two lines.
Step 11: Squash-fold
the flap.
Step 14: Press
/ fold these edges downwards over the prefolded lines.
Step 13: Fold
this edge downwards.
Step 21: Make
five to seven flowers for one completed Amaryllis plant.
Step 19: Repeat
step 18 on the other five petals.
Step 20: Curve
the petals by tightly rolling them up.
Step 18: Hold
the model between your fingers on the marked area. Then squash-fold
the petal with your other hand, see arrow.
Step 17: Fold
the little triangle flap inwards and close the model again.
Repeat steps 16 and 17 on the other five triangle flaps.
Step 22: Prefold
the leaf paper in half, then fold over the two outer lines.
Step 28: Fold
the upper edge of the stem inwards, all around.
Step 25: Curve
the upper part of the leaf by rolling it up.
Step 26: Make
seven to ten of these leaves for one Amaryllis plant.
Step 24: Fold
over these two lines.
Step 23: Fold
over these two lines.
Step 29: Glue
the flowers to the top of the stem, in a circle.
Step 27: Roll
up a large green rectangle for the stem.
Step 30: The
leaves are glued to the lower part of the stem.
I made two of these Amaryllis flowering plants for my arrangement.
Step 31: I
used the same Origami paper for the Shooting Star flower and for the
bud. One side is darker than the other. The bud is folded by using
this darker colored side of the paper and the same way as the flower
until step 40
Prefold over the four lines.
Step 32: Fold
over the prefolded lines, into a basic shape.
Step 33: Fold
the edge downwards
Step 35: Flip
the model upside down
Step 34: Repeat
step 33 on the other three edges.
Step 36: Fold
the center to the right
Step 37: Fold
the lower petal to the center over these two lines.
Step 38: This
is how the backside / bottom looks.
Flip the model again.
Step 39: Open
each petal and squash-fold it towards the center.
Step 40: Curve
the tip of each petal by rolling it up tightly.
Step 41: I'm
not sure how many of these flowers I made, I think about 50 to 60
for this arrangement.
Step 42: The
Shooting Star Bud is folded the same as the flower, until step 40.
Curve and glue the petal tips together, see arrows.
Step 43: Make
10 to 15 of these flower buds
Step 44: Prefold
the Shooting Star leaf in half, then fold over the two outer lines.
Step 45: Fold
over these two lines.
Step 46: Fold
the lower part of the leaf in half and curve the upper part
outwards.
Step 47: The
leaves are used for the flowers and buds of the Shooting Stars.
Step 48: Fold
a long rectangle around a metal / florist wire.
Curve the stem a little to make it look more natural and realistic.
Step 49: The
flowers and buds are glued to the upper part of each stem. The
leaves are folded around the lower part of the stems.
I clustered the flowers and buds into large clumps, see the next
photos.
