Origami Black Cat This black cat is pretty hard to fold, so I placed
a video with instructions below the
diagrams to make it a little more clear for you.
Step
1:
The other side of this origami paper is completely black.
Prefold over these 4 lines
Step
2:
Valley-fold over these 4 lines
Step
3:
Turn the model
Step
4:
First valley-fold over the 2 lines at the bottom-right.
Then mountain-fold over the 2 diagonal lines in the
middle. And valley-fold over the 2 lines at the top left.
Make sure that
the eyes are on the right place, see arrow
Step
5:
The eyes are on the flap indicated by the arrow.
Pull the flap upwards.
Step
6:
Squash fold the flap
Step
7:
Valley-fold over these 2 lines
Step
8:
Unfold the folds of step 7
Step
9:
Pull the edge indicated by the arrow downwards
by making a valley-fold over this line
Step
10:
Press the edges downwards, see arrows
Step
11:
Valley-fold the triangular flap upwards
Step
12:
Pull the 2 ends at the bottom/back of the arrows
outwards, in the direction of these arrows
Step
13:
Mountain-fold the triangular flap to the inside
of the model
Step
14:
Push the 2 ends of step 12 towards each other again
Step
15:
Make sure the part with the eyes is on top now.
Repeat steps 6 to 14 on the other 3 flaps
Step
16:
The part with the head is still on top now.
Fold the 2 edges indicated by the arrows upwards.
Then, carefully pull the upper paper layer of these
2 edges upwards, loose from the model.
Step
17:
Valley-fold over these lines
Step
18:
Now you've made an extra flap.
Valley-fold this extra flap upwards.
Step
19:
And now the eyes are visible.
Repeat steps 16 to 18 one more time
on the backside of the model.
Then turn the model
Step
20:
Pull the left- and right-flap outwards,
in the direction of the arrows.
Step
21:
Valley-fold on the edge indicated by the large arrow.
Make the same fold, mirror-wise, on the edge indicated
by the small arrow.
Step
22:
Repeat step 21 on the other side of the model
Step
23:
Prefold the model over this line, fold the top to the
edge indicated by the arrow below.
Step
24:
Open the model from below, see arrow
Step
25:
Mountain-fold the center of the model downwards,
all lines are prefolded in step 23
Step
26:
Push the model inwards from aside, see arrows
Step
27:
Now the model has the same shape as in step 23 again,
but the top is folded downwards.
Pull the left-flap upwards, in the direction of the arrow
Step
28:
Pull the edges indicated by the arrows outwards.
You don't have to make new folding lines to do this.
Step
29:
Fold over the 3 longer lines in the middle.
Then press the head flat from aside by making
a mountain-fold over the 2 lines on the outside.
Step
30:
Valley-fold over this line, do the same on the
other side, see arrow
Step
31:
Hold the model between your fingers just on the right
of the head. Then press the head flat with your other
hand, press it flat against the fingers which are holding
the model
Step
32:
Mountain-fold over the upper line and valley-fold
over the line below.
Step
33:
Mountain-fold over this short line.
Step
34:
And the head is done......
Step
35:
Pull the tail upwards, see arrow
Step
36:
Pull the edges indicated by the arrows outwards.
Step
37:
Fold over these 3 lines.
Then press the model flat from aside again,
see arrows

again.
Do the same on the other side of the tail.

Step
40:
Mountain-fold over this line.
Do the same on the other side of the tail.
Step
41:
Bend/fold/push the tail upwards on the spot indicated
by the arrow on the left. And bend/fold/push it downwards
on the spot indicated by the arrow on the right.
Step
42:
Mountain-fold over these 2 lines,
do the same on
the other side of the model.
Step
43:
Press the legs flat between your fingers by making
a mountain-fold over these lines.
Do the same
with the legs on the other side.
Step
44:
Push the edge inwards by making an inside reverse
fold over these 3 lines (=valley-fold over the short line
in the middle and a mountain-fold over the 2 outer
lines).
Do the same on the other side of the body.
DONE!
This setting will bring bad luck for sure....
