Step 1: The
leaf-papers have the same size as the
stem-papers.
Valley-fold the leaf-paper in half.
Step 6: Valley-fold
over these 2 lines.
Step 5: Valley-fold
over these 2 lines.
Step 2: Valley-fold
in half again, then unfold the paper.
Step 4: The
prefolded squares pattern makes it
easier to cut out smaller squares.
Step 3: Repeat
steps 1 and 2 in this direction
Step 10: Make
100 to 150 of these leaves for one
completed bonsai tree.
Step 8: Press
/ crumple the model inwards, see arrows.
Step 9: Done
Step 7: Valley-fold
over these 2 lines,
then turn the model.
Non
triangular Bonsai Origami Tree
Step 16: Mountain-fold
over these lines , then bend / curve
the model, see arrow.
Step 15: Mountain-fold
over this line.
Step 12: The
branche-papers are half the size of
the standard stem papers.
Crumple the paper in your hands.
Step 11: Prefold
a stem-paper in half in both
directions.
Step 14: Fold
over these 2 lines.
Step 13: Valley-fold
in half, insert a metal / florist
wire if your branches aren't strong enough.
Step 21: Glue
/ tape two standard sized stem-papers
together. Then crumple it in your hands and
wrap it around the main-stem.
Step 19: Make
about 15 of these branches with leaves.
Each branche has a different amount of leaves
and is also arranged different.
Step 20: Use
six a4-papers to make a tube, use tape
to hold them together. Insert a metal / florist
wire if the main-stem isn't strong enough.
Then valley-fold the top of the main-stem
in half two times.
Step 18: Glue
leaves in the openings on the left and
right.
Step 17: Bend
/ curve the model, see arrows.
Step 22: Twist
/ rotate the paper around the white
main-stem.
Step 25: Wrap
a crumpled standard sized stem paper
around a metal / florist wire.
Make three of these standard stems.
Step 26: Two
standard stems are glued on the left of the
main-stem and one is glued on the right.
Glue the branches with leaves to the standard
stems.
Step 24: The
main-stem is done....
Step 23: Press
the bottom edge of the main-stem outwards.
Step 27: Keep
the non-triangular shape in mind while
you glue the branches to the stems.
