MAKING A ROUND BOX
Only the front of the square piece of paper needs to be coloured.
Step 1:
Make a mountain-fold over the red line.
Step 2:
The open side is below.
Make a valley-fold over the red line.
Make this fold
over both the layers of the model.
Unfold this fold after you made it.
Step 3:
Make a valley-fold over the red line.
Step 4:
Add glue to the piece on the right, see
the arrows on
the right. Roll up the model and glue
the piece on the
right to the backside of the piece that
is indicated with
the 2 arrows on the left.
Step 5:
Push the piece at the arrow to the
inside of the model.
It's actually a sort of mountain-fold
over the short red
line on the right of the yellow arrow.
The red line is the
help-line that you folded in step 2.
Step 6:
Fold the piece at the arrow on the right
to the inside too.
This piece lays over the piece at the
arrow on the left
after you've done this.
Step 7:
Repeat step 6 a few more times (work
counter-clockwise)
until the whole bottom of the box is
flat and closed.
Step 8:
Here 3 pieces are folded down.
Step 9:
Here the whole bottom is flat and closed.
Add a bit of glue to the bottom-side of
some of the
upper pieces and glue everything
together.
To make the bottom of the box really
flat just place it
on the table (open side up) and press
hard on the inside
of the bottom with a finger.
The box is ready!
