AN ORIGAMI BOX
Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step
1:
This is the front of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step
2:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over the
4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step
3:
Make these folds from the edge of the
paper to
the center. Not any further.
First, make 2 valley-folds below, on the
right.
Then make 2 mountain-folds in the middle.
And make 2 valley-folds on top, on the
left.
Now you get a basic-shape.
Step
4:
Make a valley-fold over the purple line.
Step
5:
Unfold the whole model.
Step
6:
Fold the end below, on the right (see
arrow) up by
making a valley-fold over the purple
line.
Make sure that the end stands straight
up after
this fold.
Step
7:
Fold the other 3 ends up too by making
valley-folds
over the purple lines.
Then press on the model at the 4 arrows
to make
the short folding-lines more sharp.
Step
8:
Press the pieces at the 2 pink dots
together by making
a valley-fold over the line in the
middle.
Make sure that the end on the left and
below keep
standing up straight.
Now, make a valley-fold over the 2 lines
on the outside.
Step
9:
At the large arrow you can see the
little triangular shape
you made with the folds of step 8.
Repeat step 8 for the pieces that are
indicated with the
3 smaller arrows.
Step
10:
Fold the end of the little triangular
shape (see arrow)to the
inside by making a valley-fold over the
middle of this shape.
(see the very short purple line).
Do the same as above on the other 3
corners of the model.
Step
11:
Fold the 4 ends that stand straight up
down over the
purple lines.
Now the box is closed.
The box is ready!
