FOLDING AN ORIGAMI CANDLE
This origami candle is not only fun for christmas,
it can be used for decoration all
through
the year.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Roll up the paper, make sure the
coloured part
is on one side of the model.
Step 3:
Hold the model the same as I do in this
picture.
Press the model carefully inwards on the
places
indicated by the arrows (also on the
backside).
Make sure the white part isn't pressed
inwards.
Step 4:
Press the place at the arrows inwards
from all angles
as far as possible.
Step 5:
Twist the piece from step 4 clockwise a
little, see arrow.
Now this piece becomes a little thinner
and stronger.
Step 6:
Hold the model the same as I do in this
picture.
Hold the place indicated by the small
arrows in your
other hand and push it a little to the
left, in the direction
of the large arrow. Push it inside the
white part of the
model.
Step 7:
Now the white part has an edge that
stands upwards.
Make a valley-fold over the 2 green
lines.
Step 8:
The top of the candle is ready...
Step 9:
This is the bottom of the candle.
Hold the model the same as I do in this
picture.
Press the edge inwards at the place
indicated by
the arrow.
Step 10:
Press the edge inwards on more places,
see arrows as examples.
These folds are to make sure the bottom
of the
candle can't open by itself anymore.
Step 11:
Now the bottom of the candle looks like
this.
Done!
Could be a nice
christmas-card...
