AN ORIGAMI CHRISTMAS STAR
Only the front of the square piece of paper has to
be coloured. I took a yellow
paper
that is coloured on both sides.
Step 1:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over the
4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 2:
Make these folds from the edge of the
paper to
the center, not any further.
First, make 2 valley-folds below, on the
right. Then,
make 2 mountain-folds in the middle. And
make
2 valley-folds on top, on the left.
Now you get a basic-shape.
Step 3:
Make these folds on the 2 upper layers
of the model.
Step 4:
Unfold the folds you made in step 4.
Step 5:
Fold the end at the arrow up by making a
valley-fold
over the red line.
Step 6:
Press the edges that stand upwards (see
arrows) down.
Step 7:
Now the model looks like this.
Repeat step 3 to 6 for the back of the
model.
Step 8:
Open the model by pulling the end at the
left to the
left and the end at the right to the
right. (see arrows).
Step 9:
Make an inside reverse fold on the edge
on the left.
(See the 3 red lines).
Step 10:
Repeat step 9 on the other 3 edges, see
the
pink arrows.
Step 11:
Push the 4 ends of the model towards
each other.
Do this by making the folds over the red
lines,
these lines are already prefolded.
Step 12:
Fold the end down by making an inside
reverse fold
over the red lines.
Step 13:
On the right in this picture
is the end you folded down
in step 12.
Repeat step 12 on the other 3 ends of
the model.
The christmas star is ready!
