CLEMATIS FLOWER
Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over the
4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 3:
Make these folds from the edge of the
paper to the center,
not any further. First, make 2
valley-folds below, on the right.
Then, make 2 mountain-folds in the
middle. And make
2 valley-folds on top, on the left.
Now you have a basic-shape.
Step 4:
Make these 2 valley-folds on the upper 2
layers of
the model.
Step 5:
Unfold the folds you made in step 4.
Step 6:
Pull the end at the bottom of the arrow
up by making
a valley-fold over the yellow line.
Step 7:
Press the edges that stand upwards down,
see arrows.
Use the folds you made in step 4 as
help-lines.
Step 8:
Repeat steps 4 to 7 for the backside of
the model.
Step 9:
Pull the ends at the 2 arrows a bit down.
Make them stand straight towards each
other.
Step 10:
Press the pieces at the 2 upper-arrows
against each other.
Then, press the piece at the arrow below
upwards (with your
other hand) until it stands like the end
below in the picture
of step 11.
Step 11:
Repeat step 10 on the other end that is
indicated with
the arrow on the left.
Step 12:
Press the end that stands upwards down
by making
a mountain-fold over the yellow line.
Step 13:
Make a mountain-fold on the 2
corners.
Step 14:
Press the end at the arrow to
the right
by making a valley-fold over the yellow
line.
Step 15:
Make a mountain-fold on these
2 corners.
Step 16:
Press the end at the arrow
back a bit, until it stands
straight up. Do this by making a
valley-fold over the
yellow line.
Step 17:
Insert a finger in the openings
indicated with an arrow
so the 2 layers of each opening become
loose from
each other.
Step 18:
Make a valley-fold on the 4 edges
indicated with an arrow
by just pressing a piece of each edge to
the inside
with one finger.
Step 19:
Press the pieces at the arrows down, so
the end in the
middle goes a bit downwards too.
Step 20:
Turn the model upside-down.
Step 21:
Pull the upper layer of the petal up,
see arrows.
Step 22:
Make a valley-fold over the yellow line.
Step 23:
Repeat steps 21 and 22 on the other 3
petals.
Step 24:
Make a valley-fold over the line on the
left and a
mountain-fold over the line on the right.
These folds are to make the petal a bit
curled.
You don't have to be very precise making
these folds.
Do the same on the other 3 petals.
The clematis is ready :)
