ORIGAMI COCKTAIL GLASS
This is how to fold an elegant cocktail glass out of normal paper with
shiny wrapping
paper attached to one side.
Step 1:
This
paper is 15 x 60 centimeters in size, four white square papers glued
together with red shiny wrapping paper taped to one side.
Prefold over these two lines.
Step 6:
Prefold
over the diagonal line first and use it as guidance for placing the
valley-fold.
The mountain-fold on the right goes to the place between the arrows.
Step 5:
Valley-fold
over these two lines, the right part of the lines is under the upper
paper layer. The corners indicated by the arrows are pulled to the
inside.
Step 2:
Prefold
over these three lines.
Step 4:
Mountain-fold
over these two lines. The corners indicated by the arrows are pulled
to the inside.
Step 3:
Prefold
over these two lines. The mountain-fold goes to the place between
the arrows.
Step 10:
Make
the model flat by folding over this line.
Step 8:
Valley-fold
over these two lines.
Step 9:
Turn
the model again.
Step 7:
Turn
the model.
Step 16:
Press
the parts indicated by the two dots against each other, then
valley-fold over the orange line. The flap goes under the layer
indicated by the arrow.
Step 15:
Make
an inside reverse fold over these (prefolded) lines.
Step 12:
Make
a triangular stem by glueing or taping the edges together, see
arrows.
Turn the model again.
Step 11:
Prefold
over these two lines, then turn the model again.
Step 14:
This
is how the model looks now.
Step 13:
Valley-fold
over these two lines, use tape or glue to connect the edges (if
necessary)
Step 17:
Make
sharper folding lines, try to make the edges of the glass as
straight as possible (see pink lines on the outside).

of paper there are also lots of cocktail glasses which are made of
plastic, some look really great:
