FOLDING A CRANE
Only the front-side of the paper is coloured.
Step
1:
This is the front of the paper. Turn the
paper.
Step
2:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over the
4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step
3:
First, make valley-folds over the 2
lines below, on the right.
Then, make 2 mountain-folds in the
middle.
And then, make 2 valley-folds on top, on
the left.
Now you get a basic-shape.
Step
4:
Make these 2 folds on the upper two
layers of the model.
Unfold them after you made them.
Step
5:
Pull the end at the big arrow up by
making a valley-fold
over the black line. Then, flatten the 2
pieces on the
left and right over the lines you made
in step 4.
Step
6:
Repeat step 4 to 5 for the back of the
model.
Step
7:
Make valley-folds over these two black
lines.
Step
8:
Repeat step 7 for the other side of the
model.
Step
9:
Make an inside-reverse-fold over the
short black line on
the right. You can make this fold a bit
easier by first
making a prefold over the short black
line and then making
the inside-reverse-fold.
Step
10:
Make an inside-reverse-fold over the
short black line
on the left.
Step
11:
Fold the head down by making an
inside-reverse-fold
over the short black line on the left.
Step
12:
Flatten the piece in the middle (at the
big arrow)
Push the wings a bit down.
The crane is ready :-)
This is a traditional origami-model,
it's not my own design
