ORIGAMI CROWN
I made this crown from a small piece of paper, you
can use a large paper
if
you want to place it on your own head.
Step 1:
Both sides of the yellow paper are
coloured.
Make mountain- and valley-folds over
these 4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you've made one.
Step 2:
Make these folds from the edge of the
paper to the center,
not any further.
First, make 2 valley-folds below, on the
right. Then, make
2 mountain-folds in the middle. And make
2 valley-folds
on top, on the left.
Now you get a basic shape.
Step 3:
Fold the end at the bottom of the arrow
upwards by
making a valley-fold over the blue line.
Step 4:
Fold the piece on the right of the blue
line to the left
by making a valley-fold over this blue
line.
Step 5:
Fold the end at the bottom of this arrow
upwards by making
a valley-fold over the blue line.
Repeat step 3 to 5 on the backside of
the model.
Step 6:
Fold the end at the arrow upwards a bit
by making a
valley-fold over the blue line.
Step 7:
Make an inside reverse fold over the
short blue lines.
Do this by making a mountain-fold over
the line on the left
and a valley-fold on the same place at
the backside of the end.
Make a valley-fold over the line on the
edge of the end, this
line is on the right in the picture.
You actually just push the end indicated
by the arrow to the
inside of the model when you make these
folds.
Step 8:
Repeat step 7 on the other 3 ends of the
model, see arrows.
Step 9:
Open the bottom of the model, by pulling
the edges indicated
by the 2 arrows outwards.
Step 10:
Press the 2 layers at the 2 short blue
lines on the right in the
picture against each other. The lock
these 2 layers together
by making a valley-fold over the 2 blue
lines in one time.
(The 2 blue lines are on the same place
after you've pressed
the 2 layers against each other).
Do the same as above on the 3 other
places, see arrows.
Step 11:
Press the corners indicated by the 4
arrows towards each other.
Then, place the model on the table the
same as I did in the
picture of step 12.
Step 12:
Press the end at the flat side of the
arrow outwards,
in the direction of this arrow.
Make sure that the 2 blue lines on the
edge below are
in one straight line after you've done
this.
Do the same as above with the other 3
ends in the middle
of the model.
Step 13:
Press the paper on the places
indicated with the pink dots
a bit upwards from below, so the crown
is less edgy in the
middle.
The origami crown is ready!
Here's a funny frog with a crown on his
head.
