MAKING A FERN
The papers for this fern are coloured on one side.
Step 1:
These are the papers that you need for
this fern.
1 paper of 1,5x1,5 inch, 4 of 2x2 inch,
2 of 2,5x2,5 inch,
4 of 2,75x2,75 inch, 2 of 3x3 inch and 2
of 3,5x3,5 inch
You can use other sizes for the papers
if you want to
make a smaller or a larger fern.
Step 2:
All 15 papers are folded the same way as
below.
Take one piece of paper.
Turn the paper.
Step 3:
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step 4:
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step 5:
Make a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 6:
And make a valley-fold over these 2
lines.
Step 7:
Press the edge of the leaf at the arrow
a bit to the
inside with a fingernail.
Step 8:
Press the edges at the 2 smaller arrows
down. Hold the edge
at the bigger arrow on one position with
a finger while you
do this. Below in the picture of step 9
is the result of
these folds.
Step 9:
Repeat step 8 on the places that are
indicated with
the arrows.
Step 10:
The leaf is ready.
Make 15 of these leaves.
Step 11:
Make one strong stem.

Fold the stem in half over the length.
You can bend the stem a little to make
it curved.
Step 12:
Add glue to the ends of the 15 leaves
(see arrow) and glue
them to the stem.
In the picture below is an example of
how the 15 leaves
are arranged.
The origami fern is ready!
These are the sizes of the used papers
(from left to right):
2x2 inch, 2x2,75 inch, 2x3,5 inch, 2x3
inch,
2x2,75 inch, 2x2,5 inch, 2x 2 inch
and on the end on the right is a leaf
that is folded of a paper
from 1,5x1,5 inch.
