ORIGAMI FIREWORKS FLOWER
I've used yellow and blue papers for the flowers in this arrangement. I
made a tiny arrangement
here, but if you like a larger bouquet, you can just make it larger
then I did.
Step 1:
The yellow and blue papers are for the
flowers.
The size of these papers is 3,5x3,5 inch
or 9x9 centimeters.
The green paper is for the leaves and
the size of it is
2,5x2,5 inch or 6,5x6,5 centimeters.
Step 2:
This paper is for a flower, turn the
paper.
Step 3:
Make
mountain-and valley-folds over these 4 lines.
Unfold
each fold after you've made one.
Step 4:
First,
make a valley-fold over the 2 lines below, on the right.
Then,
make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines in the middle.
And
make a valley-fold over the 2 lines on top, on the left.
Now
you get a basic-shape.
Step 5:
Fold
the piece below the green line upwards by making
a
valley-fold over this green line.
Do
the same as above on the backside of the model.
Step 6:
Fold
the piece on the right of the green line to the left
by
making a valley-fold over this green line (=bookfold).
Do
the same on the backside of the model.
Step 7:
Fold
the piece below the green line upwards by making
a
valley-fold over this green line.
Do
the same on the backside of the model.
Step 8:
Make an inside reverse fold over the 3
short green lines.
Do this by making a mountain-fold over
the line in the middle
and a valley-fold over the other 2 lines.
You actually just pull the end indicated
by the upper arrow
a bit downwards when you make these
folds.
The 2 ends indicated by the arrows below
are pulled a bit
towards each other by making these folds.
Step 9:
Repeat step 8 on the 3 other same pieces
of the model,
see the pink arrows.
Step 10:
Fold the piece indicated by the arrow a
bit to the right by
making a mountain-fold over the green
line.
Do the same on the other 3 same pieces
of the model.
Step 11:
Insert a finger in the opening indicated
by the upper arrow
and press with another finger on the
bottom of the petal,
see the arrow below, to make it a little
more flat.
Do the same as above on the other 3
petals.
Step 12:
One flower is done...
I've made 2 blue and 2 yellow flowers.
For one yellow flower I've turned the
paper upside down
in step 3, so it looks a little
different from the other yellow
flower.
Step 13:
Make about 8 or 10 of these
leaves.
instructions for making these leaves
For this leaf, I've made less folds then
in step 5 of these
instructions, because this one is
smaller then the one in
the instructions.
Step 14:
Click
here for instructions to make the stems
If your stem is to thick, just fold it
in half over the length
to make it thinner
Step 15:
The stem on the left is 5 inch
or 12 centimeters long and
the stem on the right is about 2 inch or
5 centimeters long.
Add glue to the bottom of the stem on
the right and glue it
to the longer stem on the left, on the
place indicated by the
arrow on the left.
Step 16:
Add glue to the 2 ends of the
stem and glue the bottoms
of the 2 flowers to these ends.
The arrow on the right indicates the
bottom of a flower.
Step 17:
Now, make 2 short stems of about 2 and 3
inch long or
5 and 7 centimeters and glue the yellow
flowers to these stems.
You don't have to glue these 2 shorters
stems together, they
stay loose from each other.
Step 18:
The pot I've used for this arrangement
is just 3 inch or
7 centimeters in height. I've filled the
pot with foam.
First,
I've placed the stems with flowers in the foam and
later I've added the leaves. This
picture shows how the
leaves are arranged. Some leaves are
placed in the foam and
others are glued to the bottom of a stem.
The origami
fireworks flower is ready!
