FOLDING AN ORIGAMI FOXGLOVE
This foxglove is not really difficult to fold. On
the bottom of this page is a link to printable coloured
patterns
for this foxglove, if you want to make exactly the same flower as I do.
Step
1:
This paper is for the flower.
Step
2:
This is the backside of the paper.
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step
3:
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step
4:
Roll up the model from the left, so you
get a tube shaped model.
Then, hold the model the same as I do in
the picture of step 5.
Step
5:
The bottom-edge of the model in the
picture of step 4 is on the right
in the picture of step 5
Press the model flat on the right and
make a valley-fold over
this line. Make this fold over all
layers of the model.
Step
6:
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step
7:
Press on the model from both sides at
the places indicated by
the 2 arrows. You make a sort of
valley-fold over the yellow line
when you do this.
Step
8:
Press a piece of the edge on the left in
this picture to the inside of
the model (=mountain-fold), see the pink
arrows. Press more of the
edge at the large arrow to the inside
then on the places indicated
by the smaller arrows.
Step
9:
Make about 24 of these flowers for one
complete foxglove.
Step
10:
You can use this leaf for making the
complete foxglove.

Make about 12 of these leaves.

Glue 2 of these stems together to make
one large stem.
Take a nice vase and fill it with foam.
Curl the bottom of the stem
and insert this curled piece in the
foam. The stem can't move very
easy when you've curled the bottom of it.
Glue the bottoms of the flowers to the
stem and arrange them
the same as I did in the picture on the
left.
Insert the leaves in the foam around the
bottom of the stem.
If you find it
difficult to insert the leaves in the foam, you can first
make holes in the foam with a pencil or
something else.
