Origami flying Goose
These are step by step folding instructions for a flying white Goose
Step 6:
Valley-fold this
edge downwards.
Step 5:
Prefold over these
2 lines.
Step 2:
First valley-fold
over the 2 lines at the bottom right.
Then mountain-fold over the 2 diagonal lines in the middle. And
valley-fold over the 2 lines at the top left.
Step 4:
Squash-fold the
flap.
Step 3:
Valley-fold one
flap straight upwards.
Step 10:
Mountain-fold the
triangular flap to the inside.
Step 8:
Valley-fold the
triangular flap upwards.
Step 9:
Pull these 2 ends
outwards, in the direction of the arrows.
Step 7:
Press/push these
edges downwards/flat.
Step 1:
The other side of
this paper is orange.
Prefold over these 4 lines, then turn the paper.
Step 16:
Push this corner
downwards by making an inside reverse fold over these 3 lines.
Step 15:
Bookfold to the
right
Step 12:
Repeat steps 4 to
11 on the other three flaps.
Step 11:
Push the two ends
towards each other again.
Step 14:
Valley-fold over
this line.
Step 13:
Bookfold one layer
to the left.
Step 21:
Valley-fold over
these 4 lines, to reveal more of the orange side.
Step 19:
Repeat steps 14 to
18 on the left,
mirrorwise.
Step 20:
Valley-fold over
this line.
Step 18:
Push this edge to
the right, see pink arrow.
Step 17:
Mountain-fold over
these 2 lines.
Step 22:
Mountain-fold over
the two outer lines.
Then valley-fold over the longer line in the middle.
Step 28:
Make the same zig
zag folds on the other wing.
Step 25:
Make the same fold
(=valley-fold) on the layer below.
Step 26:
Press the orange
tip flat between your fingers, see larger arrows.
Press the edge of the neck inwards a little, see smaller arrows.
Step 24:
Hold the model on
the spot between the 2 arrows.
Then push the head to the right by making a mountain-fold over the 2
lines on the top left and a valley-fold over the 2 lines at the bottom
right.
Step 23:
Fold over these
three lines.
Step 29:
Push these 4
corners inwards with your finger by making an inside reverse fold over
the 4 sets of three lines.
Step 27:
Pull the end out
of the model, see small arrow.
