MONEY ORIGAMI GREEK TEMPLE
This is how to fold a Greek Temple out of Euro
banknotes, I made one out of
eight 10 euro notes and one out of 50 euro notes. If you're using
dollar notes,
they should be folded a little shorter first.
Step 1:
Prefold
over this line.

columns
Step 6:
Make
a valley-fold over this line.
Step 5:
Unfold
the model
Step 2:
Make
a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 4:
And
make a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 3:
Make
a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 10:
Hold
the model the same as I do here. The outer layer fits exactly on the
inner layer of the model. Make sure that the pillar gets 5 edges,
see arrows. Roll the model up completely.
Step 8:
Here
a part of the folds from step 7 is already done.
Step 9:
Roll
the model up, see arrow.
Step 7:
These
lines are prefolded in step 1 to 4. You don't have to make new
folding lines now. Start with the valley-fold on the left, then make
a mountain-fold over the line on the right of it. Continue making
valley- and mountain-folds until you reach the line completely on
the right.
Step 16:
Make
a valley-fold over the center line of the flap, see short black
line. Make this fold over both layers in once.
Step 15:
Make
an inside reverse fold over the 3 black lines. You almost
automatically make a valley-fold over the 2 (prefolded) red lines
when you do this.
Step 12:
Make
6 of these origami pillars.
Step 11:
Press
the edges indicated by the 2 arrows against each other, to get
sharper folding lines. Do the same with the other edges of the
pillar. The model won't open by itself anymore after you've done
this.
Step 14:
This
picture shows the prefolded lines of step 13
Step 13:
This
banknote is for the base of the temple. Prefold over these 4 lines.
Step 21:
This
note is for the roof of the temple. Prefold over this line.
Step 19:
Make
the folding lines of step 13 a little sharper. Then, turn the model.
Step 20:
And
the base of the temple is ready too.
Step 18:
Repeat
step 15 and 16 on the other 3 corners of the model, see arrows.
Step 17:
Step 22:
Make
a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 28:
Press
the edges indicated by the 2 small arrows against each other. Then,
fold the flap indicated by the large arrow to the inside of the
model by making a mountain-fold over the short black line.
Step 25:
This
picture shows all prefolded lines.
Step 26:
Press
the 2 outer lines against each other, see arrows. Do this by making
a valley-fold over the line in the middle and a mountain-fold over
the 2 outer lines. The outer lines are prefolded in step 22 and 24
Step 24:
Prefold
over these 4 lines. Then, turn the model.
Step 23:
Unfold
the folds of step 22
Step 29:
Repeat
step 26 to 28 at the other 3 same places of the model, see arrows.
Step 27:
Now
the model looks like this
Step 30:
And
the roof is ready too...
Step 31:
Place
the pillars on the points indicated by the 6 yellow dots.
Step 32:
Lay
the roof on top of the pillars
Step 33:
DONE!
