How to fold an Origami Horse
This is a pretty easy to fold horse, but it does look
realistic.
Step 6:
Valley-fold
the edge downwards.
Step 5:
Prefold
over these 2 lines.
Step 2:
First
valley-fold over the 2 lines at the bottom right.
Then mountain-fold over the 2 diagonal lines in the
middle. And valley-fold over the 2 lines at the top
left.
Step 4:
Squash-fold
the flap.
Step 3:
Valley-fold
one flap upwards,
then rotate the model, see next picture.
Step 10:
Pull
the 2 ends outwards.
Step 8:
Valley-fold
the triangular flap upwards.
Step 9:
Repeat
steps 4 to 8 on the other 3 flaps.
Step 7:
Push/press
the edges downwards, see arrows.
Step 1:
Prefold
over these 4 lines,
then turn the paper.
Step 16:
Bookfold
one layer to the right.
Step 15:
Make
an inside reverse fold over these lines.
Step 12:
Push
the 2 ends towards each other again.
Step 11:
Mountain-fold
the triangular flap to the inside.
Step 14:
Bookfold
one layer to the left.
Step 13:
Repeat
steps 10 to 12 on the left and right,
not on the backside.
Step 21:
Press
the edge inwards by making an inside reverse
fold over these lines. Pull the neck upwards while
you do this.
Step 19:
Make
the same folds on the other side of the legs
(=valley-folds).
Step 20:
Fold
the model in half.
Step 18:
Make
the same folds on the other side
of the ends.
Step 17:
Repeat
steps 14 to 16 on the left, mirrorwise.
Step 22:
Make
an inside reverse fold over these lines.
Step 28:
Valley-fold
over this line,
do the same on the other front leg.
Step 25:
Mountain-fold
the tip to the left.
Repeat steps 24 and 25 on the other leg at the
backside.
Step 26:
Make
an inside reverse fold over these lines.
Do the same on the other front leg.
Step 24:
Make
an inside reverse fold over these lines.
Step 23:
Fold
the tip to the inside.
Step 29:
Press
the legs inwards between your fingers,
do the same on the legs at the backside.
Step 27:
Valley-fold
over this line, do the same
on the other front leg.
Step 30:
Push/press
both front legs to the left.
