ORIGAMI KNIFE
These are instructions for folding a cool and easy origami knife.
Step
1:
The backside of this paper is completely
black.
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step
2:
The grey part at the left has the same
width
as the black part at the right.
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step
3:
Make a valley-fold over this line.
Step
4:
Prefold the model over this line
(=mountain-fold).
Then, turn the model.
Step
5:
Make a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step
6:
And make a valley-fold over these 2
lines.
Step
7:
Pull the flap indicated by the arrow
upwards. Then,
valley-fold the part below the green
line upwards.
Finally, press the flap downwards again.
Step
8:
Make an inside reverse fold over these
lines.
Make a valley-fold at the same place as
the upper line,
but now at the backside of the model.
You actually just push the corner
indicated by the arrow
to the inside of the model when you are
making these folds.
Step
9:
Make a mountain-fold over the short line
at the left.
Make a valley-fold at the same place on
the layer below
this green line.
Step
10:
Make the black part 3d by pressing it
inwards from aside,
see large arrows.
If this doesn't work, you can try to
open the model first,
at the place indicated by the small
arrow.
(Make sure that the grey part of the
model stays flat)
