Origami LOTUS FLOWER
This is how to fold an elegant Lotus flower / Water
Lily.
Instructions for the leaf and stem are in the video.
Step 1:
Prefold
in half over these 4 lines and turn the paper.
Step 6:
Squash-fold
the flap
Step 5:
Fold
this flap upwards.
Step 2:
Fold
the corners to the center.
Step 4:
Valley-fold
over the 2 lines at the bottom right, then mountain-fold over the
two diagonal lines and valley-fold over the 2 lines at the top left.
All lines are prefolded.
Step 3:
Turn
the model.
Step 10:
Press
these edges downwards / flat
Step 8:
Unfold
both folds
Step 9:
Fold
this edge downwards.
Step 7:
Fold
over these two lines

Step 16:
Repeat
steps 13 to 15 with the other 3 triangle flaps.
Step 15:
Close
the model again.
Step 12:
Repeat
steps 6 to 11 on the other 3 flaps.
Step 11:
Fold
the little triangle flap upwards
Step 14:
Fold
the little triangle flap inwards.
Step 13:
Pull
open.
Step 21:
Repeat
steps 17 to 20 on the other three similar places of the model
Step 19:
Fold
over these prefolded lines.
Step 20:
Fold
the petal upwards.
Step 18:
Pull
the upper paper layer loose from both edges.
Step 17:
Fold
these two edges upwards
Step 22:
Prefold
over this line.
Step 28:
Now
the petal of step 27 is on the inside of the flower. Repeat step 27
on the other 3 same petals with less paper layers.
Step 25:
Press
the model a little further inwards over the prefolded lines.
Step 26:
This
is how the bottom of the model looks

Sink-fold
over the prefolded lines
Step 23:
Open
the model and turn it upside down, see next picture
Step 29:
Curl
the 4 outer petals (with more layers) outwards by just rolling them
up tightly.
Step 27:
4
petals are made of more paper-layers then the other 4. The 4 petals
with less paper-layers are going to be on the inside of the flower.
The petal above in this picture is made of less layers, make a
valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 30:
And
curl the petals with less paper layers inwards.
