ORIGAMI WREATH
This is how to make a paper wreath out of three
different Origami flowers.
The colored and text-patterned papers are made out of fashion
magazines cutouts.
The twig papers are 60x10 centimeters
The Pink flower papers are 15x15 cm
The yellow Hydrangea papers are 5x5 cm
The blue Amaryllis papers are 10x10 cm
Step 1:
Tape/glue
text cutouts to a white 60x10 centimeter paper.
Wreath made out of fashion magazine cutouts
Step 6:
One
twig is ready....
Step 5:
Fold
on the curners of both ends
Step 2:
Make
2 or 3 folds on the edge
Step 4:
Curve
the model, see next picture as guidance
Step 3:
Roll
up, use tape or glue
Step 10:
Glue
two more twigs to the right and three to the left part.
Step 8:
Use a
large round object as help for making a nice round wreath.
Glue two twigs together
Step 9:
Glue
another twig to the right, see arrows.
Step 7:
Make
about 15 twigs for one wreath
Step 16:
Valley-fold
over the two lines below, then mountain-fold over the two lines in
the middle.
And valley-fold over the two upper lines.
(All lines are prefolded)
Step 15:
Take
a white 15x15 centimeter paper and glue/tape pink magazine cutouts
to one side.
Prefold in half over these four lines.
Step 12:
Glue
three to five more twigs to the model, each one starting a little
further counter clockwise, see arrows.
Step 11:
The
next twigs are glued on top of the model. The first one starts at
the right arrow, the second at the spot indicated by the middle
arrow etc.
Step 14:
The
base of the wreath is ready....
Step 13:
Fold
parts which are sticking out of the model backwards, see pink marked
areas.
Step 21:
Fold
over the prefolded lines.
Step 19:
This
is the backside of the model.
Press the edges between the arrows against each other.
Step 20:
Fold
the center flap to the right, see arrow
Step 18:
Repeat
step 17 on the other three same edges.
Step 17:
Fold
this edge in half.
Step 22:
Turn
the model
Step 28:
Take
a white 5x5 centimeter paper and glue/tape yellow magazine cutouts
to one side.
Prefold in half over the four pink lines.
Step 25:
Curve
the petals backwards.
Step 26:
Make
about six or seven pink flowers
Step 24:
Repeat
step 23 on the other three petals.
Step 23:
Open
the petal and squash-fold it
Step 29:
Fold
over the two lines at the bottom-right, then over the two diagonal
lines. And then over the two lines at the top left.
All lines are prefolded.
Step 27:
This
is where the pink flowers are glued to the wreath-base.
Step 30:
Prefold
over the pink line and open the model.
Step 31:
Sink-fold
over the prefolded pink lines.
Step 32:
Press
the model flat again.
Step 33:
Fold
this petal downwards over the pink line.
Step 35:
Repeat
step 33 two more times
Step 34:
Repeat
step 33 on this petal.
Step 36:
Make
about 10 to 15 of these yellow Hydrangeas.
Step 37:
This
is where the yellow Hydrangeas are glued to the wreath.
Step 38:
Take
a white 10x10 centimeter paper and glue/tape blue magazine cutouts
to one side.
Fold over the four pink lines.
Step 39:
Fold
this spot to the left.
Step 40:
Repeat
step 39 on the other five edges
Step 41:
Curve
the petals outwards.
Step 42:
Make
three of these blue Amaryllis flowers.
Step 43:
This
is where the Amaryllis flowers are glued to the wreath.
Step 44:
Take
a white 5x5 centimeter paper and glue/tape green magazine cutouts to
one side.
Fold over the two pink lines.
Step 45:
This
is the other side.
Fold over these two lines
Step 46:
Fold
over these two lines
Step 47:
Press
flat, see pink arrows
Step 48:
Fold
on the four corners and fold the centerline upwards.
Step 49:
Make
15 to 25 of these leafs.
The next pictures are an example of where the leafs are glued to the
wreath.
