FOLDING AN ORANGE FLOWER
Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step
1:
This is the back of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step
2:
Make
mountain- and valley-folds over the 4 black lines.
Unfold
each fold after you made one.
Step
3:
Fold
the 4 ends over the black lines to the center
of the paper.
Step
4:
Fold the 4 ends over the black lines to
the outside
of the model.
Step
5:
Make valley-folds over the black lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step
6:
First, make 2 valley-folds below, on the
right.
(Make these folds to the center of the
paper, not any further).
Make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines
next of the
first 2 lines. Continue making valley-
and mountain-folds
untill the 2 valley-folds on top, on the
left.
Now you get a sort of basic-shape.
Step
7:
Make a fold over the black line.
Open the model until it looks like the
figure of step 5.
Step
8:
Here the model has the same shape as in
step 5,
but now it's turned upside-down.
The center of the paper has to be folded
down over
the black lines. These are the same
lines you made
in step 7.
Step
9:
Here a part of the folds in step 8 is
already done.
Step
10:
Push the outside of the model back in
the shape it
had in step 7, but now with the center
folded down.
Step
11:
Make an inside-reverse fold over these
lines.
The petal goes down when you make these
folds.
Step
12:
On the right you can see how the petal
of step 11
looks like.
Repeat step 11 for the other 3 petals
with a flat
surface.
Step
13:
Make an inside-reverse fold
over the short black line.
Do the same with the other 3 ends that
stand upwards.
The flower is ready :-)
