FOLDING AN ORANGE FLOWER
Both sides of the square paper are coulored.
Step
1:
Make mountain- and valley folds over the
4 lines.
Unfold each fold right after you made
one.
Step
2:
If you make these folds you get a basic
shape. See figure 3.
Step
3:
Pull one piece up.
Step
4:
Flatten the piece, so it looks like in
the picture of step 5.
Step
5:
Repeat step 3 and 4 for the other 3
pieces.
Step
6:
Make valley-folds over the 2 lines.
Unfold them a bit after you made them.
Step
7:
Make a valley-fold over the black line
by pulling up
the
piece in the middle.
Step
8:
Now the model looks like this.
Push the piece further down to get the
shape like
you see
in step 9
Step
9:
Repeat step 6 to 8 for the other three
pieces of the
model.
Step
10:
Fold the 4 loose triangles up.
Step
11:
Open the model by pulling at two petals.
Step
12:
Fold the little triangle against the
inside of the
model.
Repeat step 11 to 12 for the other three
triangles.
Step
13:
Make a book-fold at the top.
Step
14:
Make 2 valley-folds over the
black lines.
Step
15:
Repeat step 14 for the other 3
flat surfaces of the model.
Step
16:
Press one petal down until it
looks like the petal on the
right in step 17
Step
17:
Press the other 3 petals down.
Step
18:
Open the right and left upper layers of
each petal a
bit.
The flower is ready!
