ORIGAMI PALM LEAF PLANT
This is how to make a decorative paper Palm plant out of large green
and brown papers. The leafs are folded out of 30x30 centimeter papers,
two different greens glued together.
Step 1:
Prefold
in half, then prefold over the two outer lines.

I made the large 30x30 cm
leaf papers by putting two different green wrapping papers together.

Step 6:
Make
zigzag folds over the prefolded lines.
Step 5:
Fold
both sides in three parts of the same width.
Unfold the folds of steps 3 to 5 afterwards.
Step 2:
Fold
over these two lines, use the prefolded lines as guidance.
Step 4:
Fold
both parts in half.

Step 3:
Prefold
in half, then fold both edges to this prefolded centerline.

Step 10:
Fold
the upper edges inwards

Step 8:
Wrap
/ tie a thread or tape around the stem. And pull the lower ends
downwards, see arrows.
Step 9:
This
is how the leaf looks now.
Step 7:
Fold
in half and glue both edges together, see arrow.

Step 12:
And
one large leaf is done....
Step 11:
Repeat
step 10 on all upper edges.
Step 14:
I
made five of these palm leafs myself.

Step 13:
Fold
a long brown rectangle around the stem. Use metal / florist wire to
make the large stem stronger.
