ORIGAMI PENGUIN
This
is a step by step tutorial for folding a funky Origami Penguin.
It's not real difficult to fold and great for making in large numbers.
Step 1:
The other side of this penguin paper is white.
Step 2:
Prefold in half over these four lines.
Step 3:
First, make a valley-fold over the 2 lines below.
Then, make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines in the middle.
And make a valley-fold over the 2 lines on the upper-left.
Step 4:
Fold over these 2 lines.
Step 5:
Unfold the folds of step 4
Step 6:
Fold the tip upwards
Step 7:
Press the edges downwards over the prefolded lines.
Step 8:
Repeat steps 4 tot 7 on the backside.
Step 9:
Fold the flap downwards over this line.
Make the same fold on the backside of the model, see arrow.
Step 10:
Make an inside reverse
fold over the 3 orange lines on the right. You automatically make a
mountain-fold over the red line on the left when you are doing this.
Step 11:
Now the model looks like this from aside.
Step 12:
And the model looks like
this from above. Make an inside reverse fold over these 3 lines
(Mountain-fold over the line in the middle and a valley-fold over the 2
outer lines).
Step 13:
And make an inside reverse
fold over the short lines on the right (mountain-fold over the line
below and a valley-fold over the upper line on the edge. Make a
valley-fold at the same place as the line below on the layer at the
backside of the model).
Step 14:
Fold the piece indicated by the arrow to the backside by making a mountain-fold over the short orange line.
Step 15:
Now the model looks like this.
Turn the model.
Step 16:
Pull the layer indicated by the arrow outwards.
Step 17:
Fold the piece indicated
by the arrow out of the model by making a valley-fold over this line.
Then push the layer of step 16 inwards again.
Step 18:
Repeat step 16 and 17 on the piece at the backside, see arrow.
Step 19:
Fold the piece indicated by the arrow downwards by making an inside reverse fold over these 3 lines.
Step 20:
Hold the tail between 2
fingers at the place indicated by the yellow dot. Then press the tip of
the tail upwards and flat with your other hand.
Step 21:
Make an outside reverse
fold on the top of the model (Valley-fold over the line below and also
over the line at the edge. And make a mountain-fold at the same place
as the line below on the layer indicated by the arrow)
Step 22:
Make a mountain-fold over this line. Make this fold over all paper layers in once (see arrow).
Make the same fold on the other side of the model.
Step 23:
Make a valley-fold over this short line. Make the same fold on the other wing.
