ORIGAMI PEPPERMINT CANDY
Fold tasty and fresh looking Origami peppermint candies out of
red paper rectangles (two squares, about 10x20 centimeters).
One side of the paper is colored / red and the other is white.
I used transparant tape to make shiny looking peppermints.
Step 1:
I
used papers of 10x20 centimeters (two squares), the other side is
white.
Prefold in half over these two lines.
Step 6:
Fold
both parts in half.
Unfold the folds of step 5 and 6 afterwards.
Step 5:
Fold
both halfs in three parts of the same length.
Step 2:
Prefold
over these four lines, use the prefolded centerlines as guidance.
Step 4:
Now
this side is completely white, turn the model again.
Step 3:
This
is the other side. Fold one flap to this side and fold over the two
pink lines.
Repeat on the other three flaps, see arrows.
Step 10:
Glue
/ tape the left red diamond to the right one, see arrow.
Step 8:
I
used transparent tape here to make extra shiny peppermints.
Prefold over these two lines.
Step 9:
(Pre)fold
the red edges (mountain-fold lines) sidewards
Step 7:
Make
zigzag folds over the prefolded lines.

Step 12:
Turn
the model.
Step 11:
Press
the edge downwards over the prefolded lines of step 9
Step 13:
Press
the bottom flat, see arrows.
Then repeat step 12 and 13 on the other edge.
DONE!
I used transparent wrapping foil on some of the peppermints to give
them an extra realistic candy look :)
This is a DIY-video for making the fake peppermints:
