AN ORIGAMI PLANE
(STUNT FIGHTER)
This plane is pretty difficult to fold but can fly very well.
Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over
these 4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 3:
First, make a valley-fold over the 2
lines below, on the right.
Then, make a mountain-fold over the 2
lines in the middle.
And make a valley-fold over the 2 lines
on top, on the left.
Now you get a basic-shape.
Step 4:
Make these folds over the upper 2 layers
of the model.
Step 5:
Unfold the folds you made in step 4.
Step 6:
Pull the end at the bottom of the arrow
upwards by making
a valley-fold over the orange line.
Step 7:
Press the edges that stand upwards flat,
see the yellow arrows.
Step 8:
Insert a finger in the opening at the
large arrow and make
a valley-fold over the short line.
The end indicated by the small arrow
will stand upwards
after you've done this.
Step 9:
Press the piece that stands upwards
flat.
Make sure that the end indicated by the
arrow lays on the same
place as the yellow dot after you've
done this.
Step 10:
Repeat step 8 and 9 on the other side of
the model,
see the orange line and the 2 yellow
arrows.
Step 11:
Turn the model
Step 12:
Make a valley-fold over the short line
on top in this picture.
Step 13:
Fold the
end back to the top by making a valley-fold over this line.
Step 14:
Fold the model in half by
making a valley-fold over this line.
Step 15:
Fold the wing a bit downwards
by making a valley-fold over
this line.
Do the same on the other wing.
Step 16:
Fold the red end at the yellow
arrow upwards by making an inside
reverse fold over the 3 short lines.
Do this by making a mountain-fold over
the line in the middle
and a valley-fold over the other 2 lines.
You actually just pull the end indicated
by the arrow upwards
when you make these folds.
Step 17:
Make a mountain-fold over the short line
just below the yellow
arrow. Make a valley-fold on the same
place on the backside of
this piece indicated by the arrow.
(This is also an inside reverse fold)
The end indicated by the arrow is pulled
downwards when you
make these folds.
Step 18:
Make a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 19:
Fold the 2 red ends back to the outside
by making a valley-fold
over these 2 short orange lines.
In the picture of step 21 is a clear
view of the 2 red ends after
these folds.
Step 20:
Now the model looks like this.
Step 21:
Make an inside reverse fold over these 3
lines.
Do this by making a mountain-fold over
the line in the middle
and a valley-fold over the other 2 lines.
The end indicated by the arrow is pulled
upwards when you make
these folds.
The origami plane is ready!
(Make sure that the wings stand a little
bit upwards)
