ORIGAMI
RECTANGLE CAKE BOX
This is how to fold a useful rectangle cake box with window.
I used this cake box for some of my Origami cake
slices.
Step 1:
You
need 2 papers of 20x20 centimeters for the lid and one paper of
about 21x21 cm for the box.
Step 6:
Fold
the edge straight upwards, the folding line is 2 cm off the edge.
Step 5:
Fold
to the centerline again and unfold the model.
Step 2:
Prefold
and cut the lid papers in half
Step 4:
Prefold
in half.
Then fold both ends to the centerline.
Step 3:
Glue
the four pieces together into one long rectangle.
Step 10:
Fold
both parts in half one more time, use glue or tape
Step 8:
Fold
straight downwards on these 2 places
Step 9:
Fold
both parts in half two times.
Step 7:
Fold
into a straight angle on these two places

Step 16:

Step 15:

Step 12:
Glue
these parts together
Step 11:
Fold
both parts into a straight angle, use the bottom edge of the model
as guidance, see arrow.
Step 14:
Prefold
the box paper in half
Step 13:
And
the lid is done.
Step 19:
Done.....
Step 20:
If
you want, you can use transparent paper or plastic for the window.
Step 18:
Fold
into a straight angle and glue the edges together.
Step 17:
Fold
both corners inwards and the edges straight upwards. Then glue the
edges together.
Step 21:
Plastic
from toy- / doll boxes, pastries or transparent wrapping paper is
great for making a nice window.
Step 22:
The
plastic is glued to the inside of the lid, see marked area.
