Origami Spider diagrams
This
paper has a red center, but a complete black paper is fine too
Step
1:
The other side of this spider-paper is completely black.
Prefold over these 4 lines
Step
2:
Valley-fold over these 4 lines
Step
3:
Turn the model
Step
4:
First valley-fold over the 2 lines at the bottom-right.
Then mountain-fold over the 2 diagonal lines in the
middle. And valley-fold over the 2 lines at the top-left.
Step
5:
Valley-fold this flap upwards
Step
6:
Squash-fold the flap
Step
7:
Valley-fold over these 2 lines
Step
8:
Unfold the folds of step 7
Step
9:
Valley-fold the edge indicated by the arrow
downwards
Step
10:
Push/press the edges indicated by the arrows
downwards
Step
11:
Valley-fold the triangular flap upwards
Step
12:
Pull the two ends outwards, in the direction
of the red arrows
Step
13:
Mountain-fold the triangular flap to the inside
of the model.
Step
14:
Push the two ends towards each other again
Step
15:
Repeat steps 6 to 14 on the other three flaps
Step
16:
Valley-fold the edge on the left and the edge
on the right of the yellow line upwards
Step
17:
Pull the upper paper layer loose from the rest of
the model, start pulling at the bottom of the edges,
see red arrows
Step
18:
Now the upper layer is pulled upwards/loose
from the rest of the model
Step
19:
Valley-fold over these lines
Step
20:
Valley-fold the new/extra flap upwards
Step
21:
Repeat steps 16 to 20 on the other three same
places of the model.
Then rotate the model, see next picture

22:
Prefold over this line, fold the tip to the spot
indicated by the arrow below
Step
23:
Open the model, see arrow
Step
24:
Mountain-fold the center downwards over the
prefolded lines.
Step
25:
Turn the model
Step
26:
Valley-fold the edges below to the edges indicated
by the two upper arrows
Step
27:
Repeat step 26 seven more times on the places
indicated by the red arrows
Step
28:
Turn the model again
Step
29:
Push the model inwards from aside, so it has the same
shape as in step 22 again, but now the center is folded
downwards
Step
30:
Make an inside reverse fold over these 3 lines
Step
31:
Repeat step 30 on the other seven flaps
Step
32:
Valley-fold over this line
Step
33:
The red arrow shows the leg of step 32.
Repeat step 32 on the other seven legs
Step
34:
Mountain-fold the edge to the right.
Do the same on the other seven edges
Step
35:
Press the center downwards/flat, in the
direction of the arrow
Step
36:
Press the upper part of the leg flat
by making a mountain-fold over this line.
Step
37:
Press this part of the leg flat too, see yellow line.
Then push this part to the left, see arrow, against
the fingers which are holding the upper part of
the leg.
Step
38:
Repeat step 36 and 37 on the other seven legs
Step
39:
Push the edges inwards with your finger,
see red arrows
Step
40:
Push these 4 legs in the direction of the arrows
Step
41:
Mountain-fold the tip of the legs downwards
at the joints, see arrow as example
DONE!
