Step 1:
Take three paper squares of the same size. Glue two of them together

Step 6:
Fold to the centerline and unfold the model.

Step 5:
Fold to the centerline

Step 2:
Prefold in half. Then fold both edges to the centerline.

Step 4:
Prefold in half an fold the edge to the prefolded centerline.

Step 3:
Fold to the centerline and unfold the model.

Step 10:
Fold over the pink line and then in half over the white line

Step 8:
Fold over the prefolded lines and turn the model.

Step 9:
Fold over the two lines on the right and prefold over the left line.

Step 7:
Fold over the prefolded lines

Step 16:
Make an inside reverse fold

Step 15:
Make the same fold on the other side.

Step 12:
Make an outside reverse fold, all three lines are prefolded.

Step 11:
Prefold over this pink line.

Step 14:
Fold the edge outwards over the two pink lines. Then, press the model flat.

Step 13:
Sink-fold over the prefolded lines.

Step 21:
This is how the model looks from below.

Step 19:
Fold both edges straight downwards.

Step 20:
Fold both edges straight upwards, use glue or tape.

Step 18:
I've drawn two black eyes and an orange beak on the model.
Fold flat over the pink line.

Step 17:
Make the same folds on the other side (=valley-folds).

Step 22:
Fold over these two lines.

Step 28:
Make sharp prefolded lines

Step 25:
Prefold in half and fold both edges to the centerline

Step 26:
Fold to the centerline and unfold the folds of step 25 and 26.
Repeat steps Step 25 and 26 in the other direction.

Step 24:
Make the paper square a little smaller by folding over the two pink lines.

Step 23:
And the lid is ready.....

Step 29:
Fold the four corners inwards, use glue or tape.

Step 27:
Fold over these three prefolded lines.

Step 30:
And this is how the box looks.
