Origami Treasure Chest
These are step by step diagrams for a cool Origami treasure chest
Step 1:
These are four
standard size papers taped into one large paper. Tin foil is taped to
one side of it.
Prefold in half over these two lines.
Step 6:
Prefold the edges
to the centerline.
Step 5:
Mountain-fold over
the upper layer only.
Step 2:
Mountain-fold the
edges a little bit next of the centerline.
Turn the model.
Step 4:
Prefold in the
center of the prefolded lines.
Turn the model.
Step 3:
Prefold in three
parts of the same size.
Turn the model again.
Step 10:
Repeat step 8 over
these lines.
Step 8:
Pull the part on
the right of the black lines to the left.
Use tape or glue to connect the edges.
Step 9:
Repeat step 8 over
these lines.
Step 7:
Mountain-fold over
this line.
Step 16:
Make the same kind
of folds as in step 12 over these lines.
Step 15:
Close the model by
repeating the folds of step 12.
Step 12:
Make the same kind
of folds as in step 8 over these lines. The lines on the right are
already prefolded.
Step 11:
Repeat step 8 one
more time, without taping/glueing the edges.
Step 14:
Valley-fold the
edge to the prefolded line.
Step 13:
Prefold over this
line, use the width of the lid as guidance, see arrow.
The model will open a little by making this fold, see next picture.
Step 17:
Tape or glue these
edges together, do the same on the other side.
