AN ORIGAMI TREE
Only the front of the square piece of paper is coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Make a mountain-fold over the yellow
line.
Step 2:
Fold the green part of the paper back to
the front
by making a valley-fold over the yellow line.
Step 3:
Fold the 2 white corners to the back by
making
a mountain-fold over the 2 yellow lines.
Step 4:
Roll the model up by laying the piece at
the yellow
dot on top, on the right, over the
yellow dot below,
on the left.
Step 5:
Hold the model at the green piece of the
model
with one hand (see arrows)
Step 6:
Keep holding the model like this until
step 11,
otherwise the model will open by itself
again.
Press the piece at the arrow down.
Step 7:
Push the piece at the arrow on the right
in the
opening at the arrow on the left.
Step 8:
Fold the piece on the right of the
yellow line to
the left by making a valley-fold over
the yellow line.
Step 9:
Turn the model.
Step 10:
Fold the brown part of the model in half
by making
a mountain-fold over the yellow line.
Then you can just press on several
places of the brown
part to make it look like the figure of
step 11.
Now the brown piece is more narrow then
the
green piece.
Step 11:
Fold the tree trunk up at the arrow on
the left and down
again at the arrow on the right. Then,
make a mountain-fold
on the end of the tree trunk, see the
very short line
on the right.
Now you made a stand on which the tree
can stand.
Step 12:
Add glue to the piece at the arrow and
press on the top
and bottom of the stand so it becomes
more flat.
Make a valley-fold on the top of the
tree. Now you
can't see the white part of the paper
anymore.
Then, make a valley-fold on both corners
of the top.
The origami-tree is ready!
