Origami T-REX instructions
You
could glue 4 of these papers together into one large square and fold a
real big T-Rex dino
Step
1:
The backside of this paper is
completely white.
Turn the paper
Step
2:
Prefold over these 4 lines
Step
3:
First, valley-fold over the 2 lines at the bottom right.
Then mountain-fold over the 2 lines in the middle.
And valley-fold over the 2 lines at the top left
Step
4:
Fold the flap upwards
Step
5:
Squash fold the flap
Step
6:
Valley-fold over these 2 lines
Step
7:
Unfold the folds of step 6
Step
8:
Pull the edge indicated by the arrow downwards
by making a valley-fold over this line
Step
9:
Press the edges downwards, see arrows
Step
10:
Valley-fold the triangular flap upwards
Step
11:
Repeat steps 5 to 10 on the other 3 flaps,
see arrows
Step
12:
Pull the 2 ends at the bottom/back of the arrows
outwards, in the direction of these arrows
Step
13:
Mountain-fold the triangular flap to the
inside of the model.
Step
14:
Push the 2 ends towards each other again,
see arrows
Step
15:
Repeat steps 12 to 14 one more time
on the right, see arrow
Step
16:
Bookfold one edge to the right
Step
17:
Pull the end downwards by making an inside reverse
fold over the 3 yellow lines.
Valley-fold over the blue line while you do this
Step
18:
Repeat step 17 on the flap at the backside,
it's behind the flap indicated by the arrow
Step
19:
Valley-fold over the 2 yellow lines.
Fold the edge indicated by the upper arrow to the center
line indicated by the small arrow on the left. Do the same
with the other edge of this end, see yellow line below.
And do the same as above on the end indicated by the
large arrow on
the right.
Step
20:
The 2 arrows show the smaller ends which will become
the front legs of the T-Rex later
Step
21:
The arrow shows the left end of step 20.
Valley-fold over this line, do the same on the layer
at the backside (=mountain-fold)
Step
22:
Pull the little flap upwards (=mountain-fold over the line
in the middle and valley-fold over the 2 outer lines)
Do the same with the other tiny flap, see blue arrow
Step
23:
Press the edges between the 2 arrows against
each other. Do the same on the other side of
the model.
Step
24:
Fold the model in half over this line
Step
25:
Push the end to the left by making a valley-fold over
the line at the left and a mountain-fold over the line
at the right.
Make the same folds on the backside (mirror-wise)
The large arrow shows the center of the 2 smaller
arrows.
Step
26:
Fold the tip the the inside of the head by making
a mountain-fold over this short line. Make the same
fold on the other side of the head (=valley-fold)
Step
27:
Make the same folds as in step 26 on the legs
Step
28:
Hold the leg between 2 fingers on the place indicated
by the blue dot.
Then, press the end upwards and flat with your other
hand, against the fingers which are holding the leg.
Do the same with the other leg.
Step
29:
Press the lower part of the leg flat between your
fingers by making a mountain-fold over this line.
Do the same with the other leg.
Step
30:
Fold the edge indicated by the arrow to the inside
of the model.
Do the same on the other side of the model.
Step
31:
Press the little front leg flat between your fingers
by making a mountain-fold over this short line.
Then pull this leg upwards a little.
Do the same with the other tiny front leg
Step
32:
Press the tip of the tail flat, see arrows.
Step
33:
Push/fold/bend one leg backwards a little and
the other leg a little to the front.
And push the back of the neck inwards with
your finger, see upper arrow.
