FOLDING A WHITE FLOWER
Only the front of the square piece of paper is coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
I drawed this circle with a coloured
pencil.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over the
4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 3:
First, make 2 valley-folds below, on the
right.
Then, make 2 mountain-folds in the
middle.
And make 2 valley-folds on top, on the
left.
Now you get a basic-shape, see the
figure of step 4.
Step 4:
Make these folds on the upper 2 layers
of the model.
Unfold them after you made them.
Step 5:
Pull the end below up (see arrow) by
making a valley-fold
over the purple line.
Step 6:
Flatten the pieces on the left and
right, see arrows.
Use the folding-lines you made in step 4
as help-lines.
Step 7:
Repeat step 4 to 6 for the back of the
model.
Step 8:
Fold the end at the arrow down by making
an
inside-reverse fold over the 3 lines.
Step 9:
Repeat step 8 for the other end, see
arrow.
Step 10:
Press the pieces at the small arrows
against each other
and push the end at the big arrow up by
making a mountain-fold
over the 2 diagonal lines (see small
arrows)
and a valley-fold over the short lines
below them.
Step 11:
Here a part of the folds from step 10
are already done.
Press the pieces at the small arrows
further to the left
until the piece at the big arrow.
Step 12:
Repeat step 10 and 11 for the end at the
yellow arrow.
Step 13:
Press a part of the edges at
the 2 arrows down with a finger.
Do the same with the other 3 petals.
Step 14:
Make a valley-fold over the
line on the left and a
mountain-fold over the line on the
right. You don't have
to be really precise with these
folds.
Do the same on the other 3 petals.
The flower is ready :-)
The petals of this flower hang down a
bit.
