A WOODLOUSE
Only the front of the square piece of paper is coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over the
4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 3:
Make these folds from the edge of the
paper to the center,
not further. First, make 2 valley-folds
below, on the right.
Then, make 2 mountain-folds in the
middle.
And make 2 valley-folds on top, on the
left.
Now you get a basic shape.
Step 4:
Make these 2 valley-folds over the upper
two layers
of the model.
Step 5:
Unfold the folds you made in step 4.
Step 6:
Pull the end at the bottom of the arrow
up
by making a valley-fold over the blue
line.
Step 7:
Flatten the edges that stand upwards,
see arrows.
Use the folds you made in step 4 as
help-lines.
Step 8:
Repeat step 4 to 7 for the backside of
the model.
Step 9:
Fold the piece above the blue line down
by making
a valley-fold over the blue line.
Then, turn the model, see yellow arrow.
Step 10:
Make a mountain-fold over the blue line.
Step 11:
Make a mountain-fold over this line.
Step 12:
Fold the piece you folded to the
backside back to the
front by making a valley-fold over the
blue line.
Make this fold just a little bit below
the edge of the
grey piece.
Step 13:
Repeat steps 11 and 12 two
more times over these 4 lines.
Step 14:
Make this mountain-fold over
the piece in the middle
of the model.
Step 15:
Make another mountain-fold
over the piece in the middle
of the model.
Step 16:
First, make a mountain-fold
over the upper line.
Then, fold the piece that you folded to
the backside
of the model back to the front by making
a valley-fold
over the line below.
Step 17:
Repeat step 16 two more times over these
4 lines.
Step 18:
Fold the end below to the backside of
the model
by making a mountain-fold over the very
short blue
line.
Step 19:
Fold the black end on the right in half
by making a
mountain-fold over the blue line.
The piece on the left of the blue line
lays below
the piece on the right of the blue line
after you made
these folds.
Step 20:
Make a mountain-fold over the 2 blue
lines.
With these folds you actually roll the
end up to make
it smaller.
Step 21:
Repeat step 19 and 20 on the black end
on the left,
see arrow.
Step 22:
Make a mountain-fold over the line on
the left and right.
Then make a mountain-fold over the line
in the middle,
so the model becomes more round.
Then, pull the 2 ends at the arrows a
bit upwards.
The woodlouse is ready!
