ORIGAMI WOODPECKER
This is how to fold a Woodpecker out of one paper square.
Step 1:
The other side of this paper is white.
Prefold in half over the four lines.
Step 6:
Fold this edge downwards.
Step 5:
Prefold.
Step 2:
Valley-fold
over the 2 lines at the bottom right, mountain-fold over the 2 diagonal
lines. And valley-fold over the 2 lines at the top left.
Step 4:
Squash-fold.
Step 3:
Fold one flap upwards.
Step 10:
Fold the triangle flap to the inside
Step 8:
Fold the triangle flap upwards.
Repeat steps 4 to 8 on the other three flaps.
Step 9:
Pull open.
Step 7:
Press the edges downwards.
Step 16:
Fold over these two lines.
Step 15:
Fold over this line.
Step 12:
Bookfold one layer to the left, do the same on the backside.
Step 11:
Close the model again.
Repeat steps 9 to 11 with the other three triangle flaps.
Step 14:
Press these edges flat
Step 13:
Fold one flap to the left
Step 21:
Open the tip.
Step 19:
Make an inside reverse fold
Step 20:
Fold the leg in half.
Step 18:
Pull one edge upwards.
Step 17:
Make one zig zag fold on the tail wing.
Step 22:
Fold the tip to the right.
Step 28:
Fold the tip outwards
Step 25:
Fold this spot inwards.
Step 26:
Open the tip
Step 24:
Press / fold both tips downwards, see arrows, and fold the model in half.
Step 23:
Fold the leg in half one more time.
Repeat steps 19 to 23 on the left.
Step 29:
Fold both corners inwards.
Step 27:
Fold over this line.
Step 30:
Press the edge on the back of the head inwards.
And bend / press both legs to the right.
Step 31:
Press the back of the bird flat.
DONE!
