PAPER WOVEN BASKET
This is how to weave a cute basket out of white paper strips.
Step 1:
I
used 10 white printer- / copy papers of about 20x30 centimeters.
Prefold in half two times.
Then cut along the prefolded lines.
Step 6:
Weave
a short strip through the model, see arrows (front, back, front,
back etc.).
Step 5:
Glue
a second long strip to the backside.
Glue the third to the front etc.
Glue 12 long strips to the shorter one.
Step 2:
Fold
each paper over these two lines.
Step 4:
Make
18 strips of 30 cm and 13 long strips of 45 cm. One long strip is
for the handle.
Glue a long strip to the front of a short strip, see arrow.
Step 3:
Prefold
and cut a strip in half and glue/tape one half to another strip.
Step 10:
Cut
off all loose parts. On the right remains a short part of these
loose ends, see next picture.
Prefold over the dotted line, use the squares pattern as guidance.
Step 8:
Weave
to the left and glue/tape it to the model.
Step 9:
Repeat
steps 6 to 8 with all the other short strips.
Step 7:
Weave
the strip all the way to the left and glue/tape it to the model.
Weave another strip through the model, start on the backside now,
see arrows on the top right.

Step 16:
Repeat
step 15 on three more spots
Step 15:
Fold
this spot downwards, use the squares pattern as guidance.
The pink line is prefolded in step 10.
Step 12:
Fold
these three edges to the right. Then glue / tape the edges to the
model.
Step 11:
Prefold
over the centerline, then over the two outer lines.
Use the squares pattern and purple bar as guidance.
Step 14:
Glue
/ tape both ends together
Step 13:
Fold
over these two lines, use the squares pattern as guidance.
Step 17:
Make
a sharp folding line at the bottom.
Finally,
fold a long paper strip in half and glue it to the
basket.... DONE!
