MAKING A PAPER / ORIGAMI CASTLE

You need bricks to build a castle, lots of bricks. So at first I started folding bricks,
without thinking further ahead too much. I made two different bricks:
A square shaped brick and a rectangle one, which is twice the size of the square brick.

By the time I had enough bricks for a good start, I started with building the castle.
Meanwhile I kept on folding a few new bricks each day.

The castle itself stands on a small selfmade isle of about 100 x 50 centimeters.
First, I determined the surface of the castle and made the ground floor of it, then
I made an extra floor of the same surface on this ground floor.

The ceilings of my castle are made of two layers of cardboard and the parts that stick
out of the building are used as balconies.

Three floors for the main part of the castle seemed enough for me. The fashion dolls
wearing my own designed Origami clothes fit exactly on each floor and give the setting
a more vivid look.

After I finished the base of the castle with three floors, I added a few smaller towers.
The tower roofs are actually pink Origami pyramids, folded out of one paper each.
And I used cardboard to make the lower part of the whole construction stronger.

The actual building of the castle is finished by now, I think I used about 900 bricks in total.
After the building I added white stone-like fences to the balconies and surrounding of the garden.

Then I started decorating the castle with Origami models, like flowers in the windows
and garden.

Here I'm placing two Origami chairs on the upper balcony... just fits!
And on the right I'm placing Origami animals in the garden, like this (stubborn) cat :)

Well, I'm really done now: Trees in the garden, details on the front door and some nice fashion dolls.
Another finished project, I'm happy with it! Maybe I'm gonna use it for an online game....

This is a timelapse video of me making the paper dollhouse castle:
