ORIGAMI BAT
This is how to fold a pretty cool bat out of one paper square.
A printable bat paper is available here.
(You can also fold it out of a normal brown or
black paper).
Step 1:
Prefold
in half four times.
Step 6:
Fold
this edge downwards.
Step 5:
Prefold
over these 2 lines.
Step 2:
This
is the other side.
Fold over the 2 lines at the bottom right, then over the 2 diagonal
lines. And then over the 2 lines at the top left.
Step 4:
Squash-fold
the flap.
Step 3:
Pull
one flap straight upwards.
Step 10:
Fold
the triangle flap inwards.
Step 8:
Fold
the triangle flap upwards.
Repeat steps 4 to 8 on the other three large flaps.
Step 9:
Pull
open, see arrows.
Step 7:
Press
/ fold these edges downwards.

Step 16:
Fold
the model in half and both wings sidewards.
Step 15:
Fold
over these lines, the 2 lines below partly go under the upper paper
layer.
Step 12:
Bookfold
this edge to the left.
Step 11:
Close
the model again.
Repeat steps 9 to 11 with the other 3 triangle flaps, see small
arrows.
Step 14:
Repeat
step 13 with this flap (mirror wise).
Step 13:
Fold
the flap sidewards over the pink line and bookfold the edge back to
the right over the purple line.
Step 19:
Fold
over these four lines.
Step 18:
Fold
over the three lines on the head and open the ears with your finger
/ nail.
Step 17:
Fold
over these 2 lines.
