ORIGAMI RABBIT
I've spend a lot of time designing the paper pattern for this model,
because it was hard to make it look realistic.
Step 1:
The backside of the paper is completely
white.
Prefold over these 4 lines.
Step 2:
Make a valley-fold over these 4 lines.
Step 3:
Turn the model.
Step 4:
First, make a valley-fold over the 2
lines at the bottom-right.
Then, make a mountain-fold over the 2
lines in the middle.
And make a valley-fold over the 2 lines
at the top-left.
Step 5:
Pull the piece indicated by the arrow
upwards by
making a valley-fold over the green line.
Step 6:
Hold the piece between two fingers, see
large arrows.
Then, press this piece flat from above
with your other
hand, see small arrow.
Step 7:
Make a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 8:
Unfold the folds of step 7.
Step 9:
Pull the edge indicated by the arrow
downwards by
making a valley-fold over the green line.
Step 10:
Press the edges indicated by the arrows
flat from above.
Step 11:
Fold the triangular piece below the
green line upwards
by making a valley-fold over this line.
Step 12:
Repeat steps 6 to 11 on the other 3
loose pieces.
Step 13:
Pull the 2 ends at the bottom
of the arrows outwards,
in the direction of these arrows.
Step 14:
Fold the triangular piece
above the green line to the
inside of the model by making a
mountain-fold over
this line.
Step 15:
Push the 2 ends towards each
other again, see arrows.
Step 16:
Repeat steps 13 to 15 on the
other 3 same places
of the model.
Step 17:
Push or pull the piece on the left and
right of the green line
upwards by making a valley-fold over
this line.
Step 18:
Pull the upper layer of paper loose from
the rest of the
model. Start pulling at the bottom of
the edges, see
arrows.
Step 19:
Make a valley-fold over these
(prefolded) lines.
Step 20:
Now you've made an extra end.
Fold this end upwards by making a
valley-fold
over the green line.
Step 21:
Repeat steps 17 to 20 on the other 3
same places
of the model.
Step 22:
Fold 2 flaps on the right of the green
line to the left
by making valley-folds over this line.
Step 23:
Valley-fold over this line.
Step 24:
Repeat step 23 on the other side of the
model.
Step 25:
Prefold over this line, fold the tip at
the upper arrow
to the corner
indicated by the arrow below.
Step 26:
Open the model by pushing it outwards
from the inside.
Step 27:
Fold the center of the model downwards
by making
mountain-folds over these lines. These
lines are prefolded
in step 25.
Step 28:
Press the model inwards from aside, see
arrows.
No
new folding lines have to be made to do this.
Step 29:
Now the model has the same shape as in
step 25 again,
but the top is folded downwards.
Pull the end at the bottom of the arrow
upwards.
Step 30:
Pull the layer of paper indicated by the
2 arrows
outwards.
Do the same on the other side of the end.
Step 31:
Fold over these 3 lines. Then press the
model flat
from aside, see arrows.
Step 32:
Pull the end indicated by the arrow
upwards.
Do the same on the other side of the
model.
Step 33:
Pull the head a little to the right. Do
this by making
a valley-fold over the 2 lines at the
right and a
mountain-fold over the line at the left.
Make the same
folds on the other side of the head.
Step 34:
Press the place indicated by the arrow
flat between
your fingers, to make sharper folding
lines.
Do the same on the other side of the
head.
Step 35:
Mountain-fold over this line, make the
same fold on
the other side of the head.
Step 36:
Make an inside reverse fold over these 3
lines
(=valley-fold over the 2 upper lines and
mountain-fold
over the line below)
Step 37:
Hold the nose between 2 fingers on the
place indicated
by the yellow dot. Then press the tip of
the nose flat
with your other hand, see arrow, against
the fingers
which are holding the nose.
Step 38:
Fold the right part of the brown piece
to the right
by making a valley-fold over the short
green line.
Do the same on the other side of the
model.
Step 39:
Mountain-fold over this line, make the
same fold on the
other side of the model.
Step 40:
Mountain-fold over this line, make the
same fold on the
other side of the model.
Step 41:
Valley-fold to the left over the green
line, see arrow.
Do the same on the other side of the
model.
Step 42:
Push the flap indicated by the arrow to
the left by making
a valley-fold over this line.
Do the same on the other side of the
model.
Step 43:
Pull the end at the bottom of the arrow
upwards.
Step 44:
Pull the layer of paper indicated by the
2 arrows outwards.
Do the same on the other side of the
model.
Step 45:
Fold over these 3 lines. Then press the
model flat from
aside, see arrows.
Step 46:
Fold the pieces indicated by the arrows
to the inside of
the model again. All lines are prefolded.
Do the same on the other side of the
model.
Step 47:
Mountain-fold over this line.
Step 48:
Push the model flat from aside, see
arrows.
Step 49:
Mountain-fold over this line, make the
same fold
on the other side of the model.
Step 50:
Mountain-fold over this line, make the
same fold
on the other front-leg.
Step 51:
Push the edge inwards by folding over
these 3 lines
(=valley-fold over the line in the
middle and mountain-fold
over the 2 outer lines)
Step 52:
Fold the brown part of the leg to the
left by making
a
mountain-fold over the line on the right and
a valley-fold over the shorter line on
the left of
the leg.
Make these folds halfway the edge on the
right, use
arrows as guidance
Step 53:
Repeat step 51
and 52 on the other leg.
Step 54:
Push the leg inwards on the place
indicated by the
upper arrow.
Then push the leg to the left on the place
indicated by the arrow below.
Do the same on the other front-leg.
Step 55:
Hold the model between two fingers on
the place
indicated by the yellow dot. Then press
the ears
downwards
with your
other hand.
